Contract Specialist
Our Procurement and Contract Management team are looking to appoint a Contract Specialist to look after some of our Metering contracts and is pivotal to the delivery of our AMP8 business plans to reduce leakage and improve water scarcity. If you’re familiar with working with suppliers and stakeholders to deliver improvements in framework agreements and possess excellent communication skills, then this could be the opportunity for you!
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Based at our Severn Trent Centre in Coventry this is a fantastic opportunity to join the team. The role of the Contract Specialist is critical to the effective and efficient delivery of the centrally managed leakage contracts ensuring support is given to stakeholders on their application, supplier relationships are maintained, contractual obligations are delivered, and excellent contractual governance is administered.
The key duties of the role are:
- Assist with payments ensuring budgetary compliance, tracking and reconciling Contract Recharges and Retention
- Provide insights and report on risk register including improvements and controls and ensuring delivery of actions
- Escalate issues/concerns to the Contract Manager in a timely manner to ensure successful resolution, ensuring issues and challenges are clearly and concisely articulated to enable appropriate mitigation actions
- Seeking opportunities for contract efficiencies and value (cost reduction or new revenue)
- Monitor and manage supplier health/stability to identify any potential issues and take appropriate action by putting mitigation plans in place.
- Work with procurement teams to record contract amendments ensuring a clear audit trail; managing change control negotiations, compensation events and contract documentation. Including drafting, pricing, terms, and requirements with key stakeholders
- Conduct regular contract performance reviews in the line with structure contract governance protocols focused on performance (SLA/KPIs), contract compliance and cost control.
