EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

We’re looking for Assistant Quantity Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors, Senior Quantity Surveyors, and Commercial Managers who are eager to join a successful, diverse, and highly engaged team to help deliver our Capital Programme.

What you’ll be doing :

Assistant Quantity Surveyors

Kick-start your career as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor and gain hands-on experience supporting contract negotiation and administration. You’ll work closely with project managers and delivery teams, assist in evaluating contract events, payments, and dispute resolution, and start building your expertise in sourcing strategies and work order negotiations. This is your opportunity to learn, grow, and make a real impact from day one.

Quantity Surveyors

Join us as a Quantity Surveyor and take the lead in shaping procurement strategies and delivering commercial excellence. You’ll draft and negotiate NEC4 Option A, C, and E contracts, manage contract administration, payments, and compensation events, and ensure every step aligns with internal governance and project objectives. This is your chance to drive value and make a measurable impact on high-profile projects.

Senior Quantity Surveyors

We’re looking for dynamic Senior Quantity Surveyors to lead from the front—driving procurement strategy, challenging supplier pricing, and steering contract negotiations with confidence. You’ll take ownership of contract lifecycle management and financial tracking, support project teams through early warnings and compensation events, and play a key role in mentoring junior talent while building strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders. If you’re ready to make a real impact, we want to hear from you.

Commercial Managers

Step into a pivotal role as a Commercial Manager, where you’ll lead the performance management of design consultants and foster strong partnerships across internal teams and external suppliers. You’ll oversee NEC4 ECC service orders, ensuring alignment with programme and budget targets, while managing a small team of category managers and driving strategic initiatives. If you’re passionate about continuous improvement and supply chain innovation, this is your opportunity to lead with impact.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

We’re looking for commercially minded professionals with strong communication and stakeholder management skills. You’ll have excellent attention to detail to ensure compliance and accurate reporting, along with a passion for delivering value and driving continuous improvement.

Strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise under pressure, and a proactive, self-reliant approach are essential. Experience in construction, utilities, or related sectors is beneficial, though we welcome transferable skills.

A full UK driving licence is required due to travel needs. For Commercial Managers, experience with design consultants and performance improvement is highly desirable.

Don’t worry if you don’t have a background in the utility sector – we welcome anyone with the relevant transferable skills and a can-do attitude. In return, we will support you every step of the way in your career journey with us, and that includes sponsoring your professional qualifications and investing in your ongoing development through our career progression framework.

We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality as we know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities. We want people who show up and get involve. Those who are ready to be part of something bigger and who want to make a difference because they care. Is that you?

We do more, because we care.
