We are looking for a Capital Products Implementation Manager to work within our plug and play team, truly delivering for the future.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
As our Capital Products Implementation Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of a major shift in how we design and deliver capital projects. You’ll lead the charge in showing high-impact opportunities, developing robust business cases, and guiding early-stage R&D to unlock over £200 million in savings during AMP8.

- Lead early-stage R&D for innovative products and processes, identifying and driving transformational engineering solutions that push the boundaries of what’s currently possible in the industry.
- Identify and develop opportunities to reduce cost and improve efficiency by re-engineering existing systems, processes, or components—delivering measurable value across the business.
- Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers and project managers, creating a collaborative environment that fosters innovation, agility, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with internal departments and external partners to ensure smooth development, implementation, and adoption of innovative technologies, loop technical execution with operational needs.
- Apply agile methodologies, including sprint-based workflows, to rapidly test and iterate on latest ideas—turning them into viable, production-ready concepts with clear commercial potential.
- Champion business transformation by embedding new products and processes into business-as-usual operations—navigating change management challenges and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE.
We’re seeking an exceptional leader with a strong track record in R&D project leadership. You’ll complement this with experience such as successful implementation of new products within complex engineering environments or technical sales within a varied engineering/R&D consultancy. You will have experience driving innovation from concept through to delivery, with a deep understanding of the technical and operational challenges involved.
The ideal candidate will be proactive and forward-thinking—someone who approaches challenges with curiosity and a passion for solving problems through smart, effective design. You will thrive in an environment where innovation is encouraged, and where your ideas can lead to real change. Strong leadership is essential. We’re looking for someone who can inspire, guide, and grow high-performing teams.
You’ll also need excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Whether working with internal teams, senior leadership, or external partners, you will be able to engage and influence with clarity and confidence. A broad industry network and a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics will be key assets in this role. You’ll know how to navigate complex relationships and systems to ensure efficient, effective delivery.
Finally, you’ll need to be comfortable building and presenting strong business cases for capital investment, clearly showing how your ideas add strategic value. This role involves working with senior leaders and sometimes having tough conversations with challenging stakeholders. You will need the confidence to stand your ground and back your proposals, even when facing pushback.
