LET’S TELL YOU MORE
We are recruiting a Data Analyst (internally known as an Assurance Analyst)!
In this role, you’ll develop and evolve consumption models that underpin key regulatory measures including Leakage, Per Capita Consumption and Business Demand, using smart meter data to improve accuracy and reduce uncertainty.
Working closely with internal teams and external specialists, you’ll interpret complex datasets, identify trends and turn insight into clear actions that improve performance. You’ll play a key role in understanding how water is used, separating consumption from leakage, and ensuring our reporting aligns with Ofwat’s best practice.
As smart meter rollout continues, you’ll help shape how we use this data across the business, improving model representativeness, supporting better targeting of leakage and efficiency activity, and influencing decisions that protect water resources for the future.
You’ll be based at our Severn Trent Centre site in Coventry. This is a Monday to Friday role working 37 hours a week.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for someone who combines strong data and modelling expertise with the ability to turn insight into action. You’ll have a background in data analytics, statistics or data engineering, with the skills to work confidently across complex datasets and deliver clear, meaningful outputs.
You’ll be highly analytical and naturally curious, able to spot trends, solve problems and translate technical detail into simple, impactful messages that drive business decisions. Experience in smart metering, or an understanding of leakage, demand management or regulated environments, would be a real advantage.
Just as importantly, you’ll be a confident communicator and collaborator, able to engage stakeholders, simplify complexity and build strong relationships both internally and externally. Proactive and self-motivated, you’ll take ownership, challenge the status quo and deliver high-quality work right first time.Skills and experience are important, but character, positivity, and a caring attitude matter too. We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality, as we know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities. We’re looking for people who want to get involved, be part of something bigger, and make a difference because they care.
