We're looking for proactive and driven individuals who are passionate about delivering projects that make a real difference to our customers, communities and environment. You'll have experience supporting the delivery of engineering, construction, operational or capital projects and be keen to develop your career within project management.

 

We're looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our Capital Delivery team.

 

HOW WE WORK

 

Working arrangements vary across our Capital Delivery teams and are agreed on a manager-by-manager basis. As a result, office and home-working expectations may differ depending on the team and role you join.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

 

  • Experience supporting the delivery of engineering, operational, construction or capital projects.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing project plans, risks, budgets and project reporting.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with internal teams, contractors and suppliers.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of project controls.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with a range of stakeholders.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

  • Experience within the water, wastewater, utilities, engineering or infrastructure sectors.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks.
  • Experience working with external contractors and supply chain partners.
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements, including CDM regulations.
  • APM qualification (or working towards).
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction, Environmental or Project Management related discipline.

 

Our Capital Delivery teams are responsible for delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across our Water, Waste and Infrastructure programmes. As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll have the opportunity to work on projects that help maintain and improve essential services for millions of customers while developing your project management career within one of the UK's leading utility providers.
