EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
We have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a DST Team Manager, where you’ll predominantly be managing operational frontline teams. You will need to manage resources, support the timely delivery of repair and maintenance activities through your teams focus to correct analysis and promotion of repair work, operation of the clean water network and you’ll aim to ensure that our customers receive a constant supply of good quality drinking water and excellent customer service.
You’ll be involved in numerous daily activities from Engaging with the team, driving performance across the day (aiming to meet our ODI performance targets), delivering schedules of work and minimising job suspends and rejects. Furthermore, you will ensure that customer promises are delivered and any disruptions are minimised and that we are cost effective- all with a CMEX (our Customer performance measures) perspective in mind.
Further responsibilities include leading a team of first responder technicians in managing burst main events, ensuring that all relevant processes and best practices are applied to maintain high standards of customer service and environmental performance. Additionally, you will serve as the primary liaison with the Environment Agency (EA), ensuring effective communication and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Plus, as our DST Team manager, you will utilise your operational/ Distribution Network knowledge & previous experience in dealing with customers & customer queries, to ensure that we are providing our customers with the best possible service.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader with a proven track record in managing high-performing teams in fast-paced, customer-focused environments. The ideal candidate will have strong operational knowledge, excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to drive performance through change.
Experience in budget management, regulatory compliance, and health and safety standards is essential, along with a solid understanding of IT systems, leakage technologies, and work management tools. A valid EU Skills National Hygiene accreditation card is desirable. This role demands a confident decision-maker who can inspire teams, manage complex employee relations, and consistently deliver outstanding customer service.
A full UK driving licence is required.
