Senior Project Manager

What do you get if you cross an award winning, innovative, water company and over 300 dedicated team members? Our Delivery team of course!

Our ambitious and innovative projects (all 5000+ of them) help to combat the challenges of waste and water infrastructure, flooding and water quality. Being part of our inhouse design team means we can do the best by our customers and our water.

If you want to do more because you care, we’d love to talk to you. There really is something for everyone here.

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to support our Waste Infra team in Raynesway.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

As our Senior Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading the more complex and larger projects within the programme as well as supporting the team from a technical standpoint.  You’ll also help develop junior team members technical skills and aid the Senior Programme Manager in the teams’ career development.

You’ll also be responsible for supporting the Senior Programme Manager in the successful delivery of the Waste Infra programme of work to time, cost and quality.  You’ll support driving the programme from design through to completion, engaging with key stakeholders (both internally and externally) along the way.

With a diverse programme in the Waste Infra team, you’ll see a wide range of projects with varying degrees of complexity, in terms of stakeholders and strategic implementation. The programme of works in the team is prioritised through our Tactical Asset Planning (TAP) team, so stakeholder management is key throughout the project life cycle.

You’ll be competent in managing the six aspects of a project, i.e. scope, schedule, finance, risk, quality and resources. You’ll drive the project plans, safeguard milestone delivery and also ensure reporting of progress through to the Senior Programme Manager.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

You’ll come equipped with confident communication, team membership, leadership and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive and flexible approach to working, and have excellent planning and organising skills.

You’ll also bring your strong conflict management and negotiating skills and would ideally be NEC4 and APM PMQ or equivalent project management qualified; however, we would be happy to support you throughout your journey in obtaining these qualifications.

The right skills and experience are important. But if you have the right character, positivity and a caring attitude we want to talk to you, too.

We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality as we know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities. We want people who show up and get involve. Those who are ready to be part of something bigger and who want to make a difference because they care. Is that you?

We do more, because we care.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU

It’s not just a job you’ll get here, you’ll get a career too. We have a range of benefits that reward and recognise great work and award-winning training to ensure you reach your potential.
